Being the oldest girl in the family, Josie always felt that she was the “role model.” She was taught to respect elders and appreciate the importance of family values. Josie developed an interest in health care when she cared for her ill grandmother both in the hospital and home. This experience truly inspired Josie to learn more about how to impact patients’ and families’ quality of life by giving the best care. Josie believes that each of us should be able to make the choice to stay home and be comfortable until our last days! Josie has worked in healthcare in Germany and had a 16-year career as a valued member of the Outreach Community Program.

As the Executive Director of Evolve Home Care Kingston, Josie instills her caring approach to seniors with all Evolve Home Care Caregivers.  Her dedication to customer service, attention to detail, and consistently positive attitude has been the cornerstone of the great reputation that Evolve Home Care Kingston has for providing quality, consistent home care.

Chris has been a Registered Nurse for 20 years and has spent his life working in health care. His initial exposure with seniors is  Shallom Village in Hamilton where he worked with the elderlies including holocaust survivors. He has a strong background in nephrology, oncology, psychosocial rehabilitation, gerontology, and mental health. When his elderly father was diagnosed with renal failure, Chris assisted his mother to care for his father until he passed away at 87 years of age. His surviving mother is now 90 years old, and is still living in her own home!

Chris met Josie in Kingston in 1989, and they’ve been there ever since!  They are active volunteers passionate about the Kingston community. Both have traveled the world through the Asia-Pacific rim, Europe, Israel, and the Caribbean.  They hope to share their passions with their 2 sons!

For many years, Josie and Chris have wanted to open a business that would offer specialized premium home care for seniors. Joining Evolve Home Care was an easy choice for Josie and Chris: they are both caring and compassionate and were brought up in families that value respect for their elders. Josie and Chris believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
